Happy Fourth!

I hope everyone enjoyed a great independence day! I must say, I did. I went and stayed with my sister in Columbia. We enjoyed a great evening at a concert at Finlay Park, then we went to the Bloswfish baseball game to see the fireworks (they were amazing)!! Afterwards, about midnight, we celebrated with Sparklers! We are very patriotic!! My favorite part was at the baseball game hearing all the patriotic songs...my sister laughed at me becuase I kept saying I hope they play some good America Songs! But, being an army child you grow to great traditions...and fireworks and patriotic songs always get me! I am so proud of my daddy and all the other troops in the military!!! Thank God for all these brave men and women! Happy Fourth of July!!!

...only four more days until my departure...

So Busy!

Summer is approaching, and I have been so busy! School is crazy right now with all the banquets and last miute projects for final grades! I am proud to say though, I only have two more days! Yay!! Then its preparing for graduation day!

I thought I would share about a few things going on...

--Wendsday, May 20th at 3:50pm I officially signed the NCAA letter of intent, so I will be able to run with Winthrop! I am officially an Eagle! Yay! I am so excited to continue my running career in college! I do want to think all my coaches: Tony Thomas, Buster Freeman, Paul Rogers, and Kevin Kelly for all their support, help, and encouragement! I could have not done it with out them!

--Thursday (May 21st) night, I was asked and recieved the honor of being able to speak at the SC Business Hall of Fame. This was a black tie event, so I got to dress up in formal wear and I met so many fascinating people! It was amazing! I had the privilege of Recognizing the Hall of Fame Family and escorting Roger Milliken and Darla Moore. It was a great experience and it was great to get to meet so many important people in SC.

I am so glad that this school year is coming to an end! A few things coming up: my best friend from Arizona comes June 2nd (Yay!!!), Graduation: June 4th, Orientation at Winthrop June 18th and 19th, Salkahatchie Mission Trip: June 20th-27th, and finally RUNNING IN AUSTRALIA: July 9th!! Then my oldest sister getting married: August 1st! This is going to be a busy summer but very fun!

Blueberries and Camellia's

Harvey and Jean Stegner have the most beautiful Camellia's in their yard. They have donated 2 of their Camellia's to the auction. They also have donated a couple of blueberry bushes as well! If you ever want great pictures with Camellia's or Iris's check out their house in the spring.

Bird Houses and Boot Benches and more!

Bob Hart has been building boot benches and a bird house. He has decided to donate 2 Boot Benches to the auction. He also has built a log cabin birdhouse. Isn't that great! I am going by his house this week to take pictures of these items so keep checking back for those!

His wife, Connie, has crocheted some ponchos for little girls and she also has some shawls
that she has done as well. AND she is donating them to the auction!!!

This is so exciting!!!

I cried when I opened the envelope, I just could not believe it! WOW!
