Great News!!!

Coker College just called and they are donating a Coker College Jacket worth 60.00 and 3 pairs of shorts that are worth 30.00 a pair to the auction!! Also, Lewis Howle is donating a tea pot with written history!

The generosity of this community is just amazing! Thank you so much to everyone that is donating time, items for the auction, or money! This would not be possible without all of your kindness!

Hey!

I had my first track meet tonight, it went well! I placed first in both the one and two mile!Congratulations to the rest of my Hartsville Team!!

The pancake supper went extremelly well! A special thanks to my amazing helpers: Keri, Shannon, Jenninfer, and Angie! Yall are the best and I am so glad yall have been working so hard and helping me! We were able to raise $162.27! Thank you to all the donations and support!

In other news.....

I did my service project for Miss HHS on Friday night. It was cold, very cold, but I ran for 2 hours to raise money for this project. I cannot release all the details on the project until next week when everyone has turned in their information. But I will post pictures from this event soon as well.

Special Thanks to Mrs. Donna Cameron who ran the entire 2 hours with me. My mom, who counted each and every lap that I ran. Kendall Chapman and Shannon Franklin who were there for support. Kevin and Chance who ran some laps for me as well as several members of our track team.

The Fat Tuesday Pancake Supper at Miriam's is tomorrow night!! I will not be in attendance, because of a track meet, however, my fundraising committee will be there and will be working for tips for my trip! They are the BEST!!!

The Bracelets are IN!!

The bracelets are in and of course I will be posting a picture of them tonight. They are so cute and are already selling fast!

Thanks to eveyone who has donated to the auction and directly to my trip! I cannot say thank you enough. The support of my family, friends, community, and even strangers is just breathtaking.

Auction Items

The auction items are coming in!! Check out the list to your right. It is being updated many times a day!! Some items have not been posted yet, but we are off to a great start! There will be a few "surprise" items as well for the auction. I have heard some rumors of some GREAT items!!! But I promised not to tell. So you will have to wait and see them. Keep checking back frequently, as we will be adding to the auction list as the donations come in!

Fundraising Auction

Tonight my fundraising committee met and planned an auction to raise money for my trip. We are having an auction on March 21, 2009 at Antioch Recreation Center. We will be accepting donations for the auction and we will also have a concession stand there as well. We are working very hard right now trying to organize and let everyone know that I have been invited to this once in a lifetime event. I am so excited and I am also very fortunate to have talented people on my fundraising committee. These girls have thought of everything. We will be ordering Tshirts this week with a very neat logo. Also, we will be getting flyers out by the end of the week and talking to possible patrons! I cannot wait to share with you the logos for the shirts!!

Downunder Sports

I have been invited to participate on the SC cross country team this summer in the Down Under International Games to be held in Australia . I am honored to be an ambassador of not only my community and state, but also our country. I will be participating in this one of a kind international tournament while in Australia. I am looking for sponsors to make a contribution towards the cost of my trip. A major source of funds comes through voluntary contributions of family, friends, and business sponsors. Sponsorships will be a very important part of my fundraising activity. The donations will help me fulfill a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Run Jaclyn Run

I am creating this blog for a couple of reasons. The first reason is that I am a runner, and I have been invited to run Internationally this summer in Austrailia. The only problem is that I have to raise the money to get there. The second reason I am blogging, is so I can keep my family and friends up to date with my running and other projects I have going on in my life! I am very busy right now with several different activities planned, so stay tuned.
